The Guitar Wheel has two sides which display music theory in a unique way. The Guitar Side helps guitarists visualize how music theory works, the way many guitarists are used to thinking about music - on their guitar fretboard! It is a simple, easy-to-use tool that contains volumes of music theory concepts from basic to intermediate. Studying music theory in any key is made possible by turning the key selector tab. Find quick answers to questions on the go or study it to better understand music theory. The more you look at the Guitar Wheel, the more might “jump out” at you and the mysteries of music theory will begin to unravel.

On the Guitar Side music theory information is displayed on a scaled down guitar neck, like a curved map of the guitar fret board. It shows major minor and diminished chords, chord fingerings, chord formulas, names of notes, and inversions. Strings and frets are labeled, and chord shapes are green for major, red for minor and orange for diminished. The chord shapes help you find and play chords on the guitar.

The Guitar Wheel is like having two wheels in one. The Piano Side is a sizable music theory reference for any musician. This side shows major minor pentatonic and blues scales, chord formulas, and sections helpful for transposing and finding concert pitch. A piano staff and piano keyboard are illustrated on the Piano Side also as a supportive reference.
